HARPER
AFFILIATION: CRIMSON VIPERS
Harper Voss didn't choose this life. It was handed to her before she was old enough to know there was any other kind. When the Syndicate took her father from her, the Crimson Vipers were the ones who picked her up off the floor of his blood, and they never let her go. They became the only family she had left, and she'd burn the city down for any one of them without a second thought.
She notices things most people miss: who's having a bad day, who needs the joke before they ask for it, who deserves another chance even when they've burned through the last three. That same instinct makes her fiercely loyal to the people she loves. She'd put herself in harm's way for any of them, no matter the cost to her.
She runs with the boys and never asks for an easier version of the job. She's a hell of a shot, scrappy enough to hold her own in a fight that should be over before it starts, and nobody who's worked beside her has had reason to go easy on her.
What she wants, underneath all of it, is something nobody in her world has been able to give her: a normal life, an ordinary one, where nobody ends up on the wrong end of a gun. She hasn't had that life. She isn't sure she ever will.
But she's survived everything East Halworth has thrown at her so far. And she isn't done yet.
